  1. In the trouble times of '98 a man named Murray who owned the forge now owned by Somers of Anna Liffey and another man planned to ambush and kill Lord Carhampton who was a great tyrant and feared and hated by everyone. Their plan failed and they were caught. They were brought before Lord Carhampton and he said he would let them free, because he liked Murray, if they would say they were sorry for what they had done, but Murray said he was not. They were lodged in gaol and that very night Murray's assistant came outside the prison
