- Another custom is the making of the plum pudding. First of all currants, raisins and sultanas are got. Then a dish and bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, spice and candied peel. The bread is broken up into crumbs. Then the crumbs are put into a dish along with all the other things and some treacle is put with it to wet them. They are mixed up and put into a calico bag where its put into a pot of boiling water and left to boil for a few hours. When it is boiled it is put hanging out of the side of the dresser until Christmas day.
