- When my cousin Kathleen Behan was dying Aunt Brigid heard the Banshee. People said they saw the Banshee combing her long white hair. She was sitting in the field.
When Kathleen Kilduff was in the Hermitage she heard three taps at the window. She asked who was there but she got no answer. The next morning she got word that her father was dead. The Banshee follows certain families, sometimes she comes to the window or chimney. The three knocks follow other families.
- When my grandfather (Mr Harris) was dying a little robin used come every day and peck at the window. When he died it disappeared.
