    Carhampton now regretted his bargain and wrote White that on consultationwith his family he must decline to part with Luttrellstown but that he would refund the euro 40,000 and make him in addition a present of a further euro 40,000 as compensation for his disappointment. The reply was brief:- "Luke White never consulted his family or made a bargain that he regretted." A blow to the Lttrells no longer of Luttrellstown.
    The annallys occupied Luttrell town until the middle of the nineteenth century, after which it was rented by a succession of people, until two years ago it was bought by Mr. Brinsley Plunket whose family strangely enough, inter-married with the Luttrells
