    It was the Agmondisham Vesey who, about 1722, built from his own designs the present Lucan House. It is a monument to his skill and taste. The Ionic front, the well proportioned hall adorned with pillars and a frieze in the grecian style and enriched with medallions atributed to Angelica Kauffman have been much admired and make the house one the the finest in Co. Dublin.Agmondisham Vesey died in 1785 and the estates passed to his nephew, Col George Vesey, who married a La Touche and was member for Tuam in the Irish Parliament. His only daughter who
