  1. In Castletown outside Celbridge town there is a castle where lived a gentleman names James Connelly. He kept a very evil house. He held a parties to which he invited no one only bad men. The castle was large and he was obliged to keep a large staff. There were fifty windows in the house.
    He was a great huntsman and he boasted that he would hunt with the devil. On the hunt field he met the devil on horseback and invited him back to dinner.
    After dinner, they started to play cards and a card fell on the floor. A servant came in
