  1. Holy Wells in our Parish
    There are two holy wells in our parish. St. Patrick's well and Tobar Senan St. Patrick's well is in the townland of Boherboy in Cullens field. it is a spring well. It is said that people have tried to drain it by vessels. it would seem that none had been taken out of it. No water appears to flow in or out of it. Long, long ago there was an altar there and masses were often said on it for the sick. People paid visits to wells on certain occasions. It is said St. Patrick used that well in baptising
