  1. An old woman lived in Rollestown who could work spells with the help of the fairies. She could take the milk from the cows by some spell which the fairies gave her. She used to get up early every morning and tie some wool round the cows udder. When she would do that the milk would come mysteriously into the vessels in her house. Then she would go out again and take the wool from the cows udders when she had got enough milk for herself. The farmers often wondered when they got no milk from their cows in the mornings.
She was also able to take the butter from the churns when the people were churning. At last they found out that this old woman had magic power and they were afraid of her forever after.
