  1. In Ireland long ago toys had to be made at home such as tops, catapults, Snares, and wooden traps for birds. The Catapults is a toy that has to be made at home. It consists of a piece of stick called a fork and two pieces of rubber the same length and a piece of leather. First you get the fork and tie two pieces of rubber the same length to the fork and a piece of leather to the rubber so that you can fire a stone from it. Men were so skilful with the (capa) catapults that they often killed rabbits.
