The sparrow is a common bird known to everyone especially round this district. It is a small brown bird and it does not migrate to foreign lands.
They are in the district all through the year, even in winter they are seen to be hopping about. The sparrow builds its nest in house-caves. they make their nests with wool and hay. They lay four eggs the eggs are white with brown spots.
The sparrow sits on the eggs for three weeks to hatch them. They feed the young ones on worms.
