  1. Holy wells are not very numerous in our parish.
    There is a well in Swords called Saint Colmcilles well. there is a holy well at Drynam, and there is one at Moretown near the nunnery, and also one at Knocksedan.
    In Summer people visit the well at Knocksedan, and also the one at Drynam, but no one visits the one at Swords or Moretown. There is a cure attached to the well at Swords. It is supposed to cure sore eyes and also the one at Moretown. People leave bits of stones and relics when leaving these wells.
