  1. My Home - district
My home-district is a townland called Balheary. It is in the parish if Donabate and in the barony of Nethercross. There are about 30 families in it.
Farrell, Bell and Madden are the family names which are most common. Most of the houses have slated roofs. The oldest people in Balheary are Finlay's, Bells, and Mr. Bollard. About a mile from Balheary it is said that Emer, the wife of Cuchulain was born. Through the lowest part of the land runs a stream called the Broadmeadow. The land is low lying and fertile.
