  1. Long ago people cured their ailments by certain herbs which they gathered on the roadside and in the woods, as at that time doctors were unknown.
    It is said by the people of Swords that if a child who is born after its father's death blows its breath into a a person's mouth who has the thrush or whooping cough, it will cure the disease.
