    times. Has a never failing outlet. Depth of well never varies whether season be dry or wet.
    Patron Day-15th August.
    People suffering from sore eyes come to wash them in the well.
    Very many cures locally and even a non-catholic is reputed to haver been cured here.
    Any prayer is sufficient-(to our Lady) Water is rubbed over the eyes.
    In olden times pieces of cloth were suspended on whitethorn. This is not done now.
    It is unknown that any person attempted to profane water from well. No fish ever seen. From all times (and still) there was a pilgrimage on 15th August (Patron Day) to Balscadden to dress graves in this cemetery around the well.
    The ruins of old church are still standing over well.
