sometimes there would be a great crowd of fairies while other times there would be about five or six.
One evening while my Grandfather was on the hills and Peggy counting the sheep a great crowd of fairies were coming up a path which ran through the middle of the field. She saw the fairies and told my Grandfather to get in out of their way until they went by. When they passed she told him that if they came up the path and he in their way they would stray him and he would have to stay in the fields all night.
