- When beetles are seen crawling on the floor rain may be expected. A circle round the moon is a good weather sign. If the circle is near a storm is far away and if it is far away the storm is near.
Here are some more signs of rain, smoke coming up straight out of a chimney a dog or cat eating grass swallows flying near the ground flocks of seagulls flying inland and the starlings chattering loudly together
Sometimes a rainbow is a sign of rain. There is a rhyme 'A rainbow in the morning is the sailor's warning a rainbow in the night is the sailor's delight
