This is a very old song which was composed by Mr, Moore, Folkstown, Balbriggan.

Come listen to my song
Says the Land League man.
And I won't detain yowling

Michael Davitt is in a cell
Says the Land League man
Therefore all is not well
Says the Land League man
They have bound him with a chain
True to old Ireland he does remain
But he will soon be out again

What about poor John Dillon

For he cannot be a villian
