The 29th of June s the pattern day in Balrothery. On this day the people dress the graves. When this is finished they dance on a cement dancing floor in the open air beside the graveyard. This old custom is not carried on in many other parishes in Ireland. The graves are dressed in Balscadden on the 18th of August.
