    St. Molaga - Nature of Fermoy - built church @ Bremore where he promoted Bee Culture. His church - remains still seen - was called Lannbecher - church of the Bee - Man Molaga returned to Co. Cork (died 664)
    Near Mitchelstown in Co. Cork is anold ruined church "Labmolaga" = Molaga's Bed or grave.
    Church built in Bremore about middle of 6th Century - once famous seat of piety and Learning.
    Molaga missionary in N-Britain & Wales - settled in Bremore Fingal - cured local Lord of an ulcer & was granted Bremore. Spent many years educating and promoting Bee Culture. [ Lann Becher = Church of Bee Man]
    About beginning of 14th Century castle built here by powerful Barnewall family - ruled in Bremore.
    A bloody fight took place on Whitsun Eve 1329 when Bermingham, Earl of Louth, Tallop Lord of Malahide, Their soldiers & 60 English followers were all killed in a pitched battle by the Urdons, Gernons & Savags (Anglo - Norman.)
