cement and brick houses are slated and the slated houses are in a rectanglar shape.
The furniture used in the old houses are very rough they consist of a settle-bed a wooden stools some having only three legs of a very simple structure, a wooden bed and a large table, long ago there were no matches used but they used splinters which consisted of two pieces of flint when rubbed together it produced a light, they also made rush candles themselves from rushes and suet when melted they put the rushes in it and when set they are put in a copper vessel, these were the first candles ever used.
