    A white blackbird was shot in the Bog by Mr. Christopher Nugent Hagardstown Naul Co. Dublin - it is said there are several white blackbirds in the "Bog" but only one known to have been shot.
    Long ago a man was walking down the Dermotstown road one dark night when passing the iron gates at the five? turns a large black dog came out the gate and walked after him down the road when he looked back the dog vanished out of his sight, this is one of the strange incidents experienced on this road.
