  1. Food in Olden Times
Three meals were eaten in olden time, breakfast, dinner and supper. Breakfast was at five o clock in winter time, dinner at twelve and supper at seven. People always worked in the morning before food. Potatoes were eaten only at one meal. Milk was used at nearly every meal and sometimes buttermilk. The kind of bread they used was oatenmeal bread. Meat was eaten for dinner only. It was mostly salt meat. On Friday they ate fish for dinner. People never ate later than seven o clock in the evening.
