  1. (continued from previous page)
The tower is worth a visit
'Twill please you to the core
Amid its true (?) from there you view
    The scenes around Lismore

But hark what rustling noise I hear?
    It is the Owann a'She-Ad ( Abha-na-Séad )
A stroll along the Lover Walk
Should make a sad heart glad
To see those rustling waters, the rocks come tumbling o'er
No scene you'll meet can ere compete
    With the scenes around Lismore

The scenes remain but where are they
    The friends of Boyhood years
With whom I played before I knew
    This world of bitter tears
Yes some are gone to foreign lands
And some to Heavens Bright Shore
And here, Och ' I view alone
    The scenes around Lismore
