The following rhyme when said quickly is sometimes thought to be foreign language:-
"in deal tar is,
In oak none is,
In mud eels are,
In clay none are".
This rhyme is said when "counting" for "tig";-
"Meena, meena, mina mo,
Catch a […] by the toe,
If he squeels let him go
Meena, meena, mina mo."
When skipping we say this rhyme
"All in a bottle of gin
All out a bottle of stout
And we all shout fire."
We say this to snails:-
"Shellicki, shellicki, bookey,
Put out your horns,
Heres a lady coming to call you."
