  1. A diúchán can be made out of a straw. A bit of straw is got and cut at two joints. One joint is cut off and at the other cut is made below the head to form a tongue. Also a strip of skin is sometimes slipped into the barrel and held on the outside by the fingers when blowing it. Three holes are put below the tongue to play it.
