  1. A great many years ago there was a great snowstorm. It covered up all the roads. It was snowing for one night only but all the same it rose six feet.
    My father and a lot of neighbours had to clear the road into Waterford. It was with shovels they had to clear it. They had to clear the road from Cloughernagh to Moonamantra. Lord Fostesque sent word to them to do it. Another crowd had to clear the road from Monamantrain. When they had it finished they got money.
