    The local roads in this district are bóitrín na gcrann, bótar na Sweep, and the Rang Rua, and Byrne's New Line.
    Byrne's New Line leads from Carballybeg to Leperstown. Part of this road is called the Rang Rua. bóitrín na gcrann leads from Ballymacaw to Leperstown. bótar na Sweep joins Brownstown road to Coolum road.
    Byrne's New Line was made in the Famine as a relief work.
    There are no very old roads in this district.
    Roads were made as a relief work in the Famine times.
    I dont know what were they payed.
    There are not many old paths or bye-ways in this district.
    There are some mass paths in this district.
