    Our Lord was carrying holy books under his arm. They fell and the tide washed them out to sea. The curlew was on the sea and when she saw them she brought them back in her beak.
    Then the Apostle asked Our Lord what favour would he give the bird.
    Our Lord said the favour which he would give her would be that no boy or girl or any human being would ever find a curlew's nest.
