  1. This was the custom up to a few years ago. They don't do that now - They only tell stories and jokes. The corpse is left lying down and a habit is worn.
    When an old person died people used to dress them in their best clothes and put the corpse sitting up. They would go out of the room and close the door for a couple of hours.
    Then they would start dancing and singing. After that anyone who wanted to go in to see the corpse should go in alone.
