    potatoes, and sometimes they remain in the house one night but never two. Some of them sleep on a bag of straw beside the fire or in an old barn. Some of them travel singly on foot but where there is a band or family of them they have spring carts. The Connors are the people who most frequently come around here especially during Christmas or on the Confirmation day. Many of these people have money.
