  1. The Holy Well of Ballydwan
    In Ballydwan there was a holy well in a field owned by a farmer named Mr. Keohan.
    Near the well was a huge slab on which a woman dressed in white used to stand.
    When Mr. Keohan married in there he bought the well near the road and for doing so he got paralysis and died in 6 weeks.
    N.B. Mrs Christopher of Ballyvooney now over 80 years of age knew the man and tells this story.
