    to look out of the window he saw a deer on the lawn. He called his huntsmen and told them to saddle the horses. "What a pity we haven't Oscar", he said.
    The horses were got ready and Oscar appeared. At one shout from the huntsman the deer was off with the hounds in full cry - on by Moonamhulla and Cnocán na Phíobaire, on by Clonea and Mothal they went. The Friars in Mothal were singing the midnight psalms when they heard the huntsman's horn and the hounds in full cry. The deer turned at Mothal and came on by Cruchán Paorach, on by Glen and into the caves at Drumlohan, deer, hounds
