  2. The following is a story I got from Thomas Hanrahan about a Fenian. About seventy years ago a certain Mr. Patrick Walsh joined the Fenians and consequently he was compelled to run from the English. He decided to go to America. At first he went to Dungarvan on the evening that a cargo vessel was to leave for some port in England. For fear he would be seen getting into the boat on the quay a man by the name of Mc Namara rowed him to the Cunnigar.
