A priest, Fr. Walter Mooney lived in Ballearian near Aglish. Died 1800.
One day he had company to dinner - a man and his wife and a bachelor.After the dinner the man remained in the dining room talking to the priest. The wife and the bachelor went into the kitchen. After a time the wife complained that the bachelor had made advances to her. The husband went into the kitchen and killed the man. Helped by the priest's "boy" - a stranger in the district, he buried the body in the rocks on the strand.Months later the body was discovered. The sister of the dead man keened him.
