  1. Long ago there used to be a ferryboat going across from Youghal to the Ferrypoint. One day the sea was very rough and the boat capsized. Three women lost their lives. Some of them wore cloaks and they spread them on the water and it kept them floating until the life boat came and rescued them. The people were saved. Now it is a motor boat they have and the people say it much safer. Coast Guards are a very brave body of men. They are always there in time of need.
