  1. Football matches were held around here long ago. There was a team in Coolbagh. John Guiry was the captain. They said to have a ball made of cow's hair.
    When ever any player would commit a foul the referee would whistle with his finger. they used to play very rough and sometimes they used to start wrestling one another to see which of them would be the best. They used to have a long pants and a flannel waist-coat on them when they used to be playing a match.
