  1. There was a robber around Tallow long ago. The penalty for a robber when caught was hanging. This robber was caught and being hanged in Cork. Before he died he asked if a Tallow man was present, as the robber had hidden a crock of gold under a certain tree in Glenaboy.
    At midnight, when there is a full moon which casts the shadow of a tree where the gold is, it is there it is hidden.
