  1. One night a young Protestant man was persuaded by a Catholic friend to attend a mission. As the procession came down the chapel the people bowed before the cross. When he saw this he said to himself that he would die rather than kneel before the cross.
    As this thought passed through his mind he saw a bright light come from the Mission Cross and he fell into a trance. When he opened his eyes again his friend asked him what had happened him. When he had told him his story he said he would like to become a Catholic. Later on he entered a monastery.
