  1. Mr. Pyne's trial in Dungarvan.
    Composed by:
Patrick Hurley, West St., Tallow, Co. Waterford.
Ye sons of old Erin pay attention awhile,
For these simple verses will cause you to smile
The clicks of the Castle have lately been trying
To send the plank bed, our great Douglas Pyne.
    Chorus
The 18 of November is next poling day
It's then we will drive the land grabbers away
For the landlords of Wire with vengeance are crying
Since they were defeated by great Douglas Pyne
    2
In Ballymacarbery he has be tried
There were fifty horse soldiers stationed outside
    If there was any disturbance
    They would pepper the mob
    3
There was Kelly from Waterford city who came down
To take out the case if he could for the Crown
And Keegan who took down the speech that was said
Couldn't read half the words that Brave Douglas had said.
