  1. "That's something" said Kit the Tinker when she got the same loaf.
    Kit went into a shop for a loaf of bread. The woman of the shop took a loaf from under the counter and was going to put it into Kit's bread bag. Kit objected, saying there was a big hole in it. (An air-space often occurs in a loaf). The shop woman took back the loaf, put it under the counter and pretended to take out another. It was really the same loaf but she turned up the other side of it when placing it before her customer. It passed alright.
    Ever since, when people want to say they think they are getting a better deal, they say "That's something, said Kit the Tinker when she got the same loaf"
