  1. Everyone likes to hear old stories, especially about one's native town. I have heard some tales which old people told me who live next door.
Long ago when the Penal Laws were in force there was a mud chapel up in a wood near Cappoquin. Every Sunday the faithful of the parish went there for Mass. They passed through a lane on their way to it and that lane is now called "Mass Lane".
There are many stories attached to this town and if I were to write them all down it would take up the copy.
