    Jimmie Ahearn, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford, hung a gander's head off the tree and so it got its name from the gander's head.
    Heights
    The Reiligeen, a steep height got its name from a graveyard. It is about a quarter of a mile from Camphire, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford.
    Rocks
    Carraigeen-glibín near Cappoquin got its name from petticoat Loose. She murdered a priest on this very spot and so it got its name.
    An Old Ruin
    The Teampaillín, an old church about a quarter of a mile from Camphire got its name because it was the smallest church that was ever seen.
