    Bridget Murray, Camphire, Cappoquin got first prize in singing at Ardmore. Her favourite song was 'The Pride of Petrovoe'

    Swift Runners
    James Meara, Moorehill, Tallow ran 25 miles in an American race and came second in the record time of 2 hrs, 5 mins.
    Great Walkers.
    James Meara, Moorehill, Tallow walked 23 miles in 3 hours.
