  1. A man by the name of Stephen Kirby. He used to stay at Mr. John Feeney's house. He used go around to the houses for alms. He used come back again to Feeney's at night.
    The Mahons came to Ballysaggart two years ago. They came from Galway. They did not lodge in any house. They had tents on the roadside. They went around to the houses by day for alms. They sold gallons and quarts. They remained in Ballysaggart for ten days.
    A traveller came to Ballysaggart about a month ago. His name was James Delaney. He came from Leix.
    The Hogans from Tallow often came to Ballysaggart. They used to buy and sell horses and donkeys. They lived in tents.
