    On St. Brigid’s Night everybody puts a brand or hankerchiff out so that St. Brigid will bless them. Then when they had a headache they would tie the brand around their heads and it would get better.
    If a person’s hand was bleeding he would get a cobweb and put it to it and it would stop bleeding.

    Long ago, they could not buy toys so the children themselves made their own toys. The boys made flogging tops from timber. They put nails on the top of them to make them spin.
    They made whistles from timber. They made scatter-guns from Búchailáun.
