    Mr. John O'Neill, Feagarrid.
There is money given as dowry but if they had not money they would give cattle.
On the wedding day the people would have barrels of porter and gallons of whiskey.
When Mr. John Feeney, Reannacoolagh, was getting married they spent the earlier part of the wedding-day at the brides house near Ballyporeen they had a great time.
They came home to Feeneys and gave a big dance that night. Straw boys came to the house, they were entertained as guests. They are called straw boys because they have straw around their legs and hands.
When they were married a month they went home to the brides house. It is called the hauling home. They had a great time. They had a porter, whiskey, wine and lemonade, and they had a big dance at the brides house on that night.
