  1. Holy Wells
There are three wells in Lismore one is about a quarter of a mile from the town.
It is called "Saint Cartage's Well"; it is visited on every Saint Cartage's day, prayers are said in honour of the Saint and water is brought and it is a custom that three sups should be drunk.
Something is always left such as flowers and ribbons. There is a little tree where the ribbons and flowers are tied on to it.
There's a well called "Glory's" which is a mile and a half from Lismore.
There is another well in "Carraig na n-Gabhar" which is called "Easter Sunday Well"; people visit it on that day.
