  1. There is a churn in this farm and it is a sixty gallon churn. Its diameter is about 2 1/2 feet and it is four feet long. The sides are round..
    It is only in use about ten years.
    There are three beaters inside in it and two handles on the outside, with which it is worked.
    There is a small portion of glass inserted into one of its sides so that it can be seen when the butter is being made.
    There is a kind of a spring ventilator in the top panel. This is pressed occasionally to leave out air. There is a circular opening on top and through this the cream is poured into the churn.
    When working, this opening is closed by a wooden door, having a rubber band round its sides to secure it. This keeps the cream from leaking out while the churn is working.
