  1. When Jesus Mary and Joseph were going into Egypt, the Blessed mother took the child in her arms and rode on a donkey's back. On another occasion when their Holy Family wanted to cross a river they tried to catch a jennit to cross over on his back, but he kicked and ran away from them.
    They got a donkey and crossed over it. When they had done so Our Lord blessed the donkey and ever since there is a cross on the donkey's back and people should be very kind to that animal.
