  1. People say if you would be late for Mass on New Years Day, you would be late for the year. Or if you would do anything that day you would do it for the year.
    Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are known as unlucky days for marrying and the rest are lucky. Also October and May are unlucky months for marrying.
    If the potatoes would not be planted before the sixth or seventh of April, they would be a bad crop or if they wouldn't be dug before the month of September thy would go bad.
    If a woman sews on Friday on that night she cannot find the clothes she sewed.
    If a person wanted to put a cure on a calf or any other animal Tuesdays and Saturdays, would be the best days to do it.
    Monday is an unlucky day to go ploughing. It is also an unlucky day to make a grave.
